About Rahool S. Pai Panandiker

I am a Managing Director and Senior Partner at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and a core member of BCG\'s Energy Practice. My main role is to serve clients in the oil, gas and power value chain segments including renewables with focus on climate and sustainability led transformations. My focus is strongly on both upstream and downstream topics. I have functional experience in strategy; corporate development; market entry and business build; organisation; processes; operational improvements/turnaround; and management of large capital projects. I have been involved with gas contract re-negotiations in Europe and am a certified Expert Witness at the UNCITRAL courts in London. This vast experience is a result of my work with energy companies in Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Russia, Portugal, India, Japan, South Korea, Mozambique and the US. I have also worked extensively with governments and government departments on regulation and policy development. Prior to my current role, I was involved in teaching and research in various universities in the US and Portugal. I hold a doctorate in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining from the Colorado School of Mines, USA. I also have an MBA with dual specialisation in Finance and General Management from the Catholic University of Portugal, Lisbon.
