Investigative internship with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office provides direct exposure to the criminal justice system through work in the Major Crimes, White Collar, and Trial Divisions. Responsibilities include assisting with investigations, hearings, and trials; preparing and analyzing legal and non-legal documents; conducting research; reviewing surveillance recordings; and observing suspect and witness interviews. Additional experience is gained through participation in community outreach initiatives and collaboration with attorneys, detectives, and victim/witness advocates, strengthening skills in research, critical thinking, and legal analysis while building a strong understanding of investigative procedures and courtroom processes.
