I currently serve as the Director of Accounting for Hitachi Vantara Federal. In my role, I oversee all aspects of accounting including managing the extended accounting team, maintaining solid financial information systems, spearheading continuous process improvements, and enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and usefulness of financial information.I bring nearly 20 years of accounting expertise that includes government contract accounting, internal controls, requirements gathering, and revenue recognition. Prior to joining Hitachi Vantara Federal, I served as Lead Accountant for the Engility Corporation. I have also held other supervisory positions such as Accounts Payable Manager and Lead Accountant at various firms where I liaised with culturally diverse internal and external clients to drive solutions for seamless operations.I earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information Systems from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. My professional development and corporate training include certificates of completion in Government Contract Accounting, Customer Service, and Management and Leadership.
