Aspiring human rights lawyer passionate about advancing justice and protecting fundamental freedoms. Focused on refugee protection, gender equality, and domestic and international humanitarian law. Achieved a First Class Honours for a Bachelor of Arts in Global Politics and International Relations and now completing a postgraduate in MA Law (SQE1). Worked with various human rights institutions, including Amnesty International and the Human Rights Commission as well Citizens Advice. Demonstrated commitment to education as Chair of Governors at what was the largest primary school in England (Channel 5 documentary \"Britain\'s Biggest Primary School\". Currently working as a Service Manager for The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, ensuring residents have equal access to services, opportunities and their rights are met. Trained Mental Health First Aider and suicide prevention, including for children and young people. Always having a human centred approach, supported in a framework of human rights, respect, fairness and dignity and the principles of the Rule of Law.I am pursuing a career in human rights law with a focus on advancing justice, protecting fundamental freedoms, and strengthening the rule of law. My academic and professional experiences have fuelled a commitment to addressing systemic inequities and advocating for the rights of marginalised communities.My areas of interest include refugee and asylum law, gender equality, crime and policing and domestic and international humanitarian law. I am eager to apply my skills in research, policy analysis, and advocacy to support law firms, organisations and institutions that share a dedication to human rights protection and enforcement.I am currently seeking opportunities for internships, research fellowships, and practical legal qualified work experience that will allow me to contribute meaningfully while developing the expertise to become an effective advocate.
