About Rahasson Ager

I am a proven biologist with over a decade of research experience in immunology and neurobiology. As a bench scientist, I had a successful track record managing both basic and preclinical research projects. Also, I published several manuscripts describing proof-of-concept experiments testing stem cell and anti-inflammatory therapeutics in animal models of neurodegeneration.As the Principal Communications Officer for the UCI School of Biological Sciences, I work as a scientific liaison between school faculty and key external stakeholders. I partner with scientific and medical experts across the University of California, Irvine, to identify and distribute cutting-edge research findings from a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines. Principal methods of communication include the creation of external press releases, social media posts, PowerPoint slide decks, and the School of Biological Sciences annual report. Since moving into my position with the school, we have documented a significant increase in stakeholder engagement. With a background in life science research and communications, I bring a potent combination of professional experience, education, and passion for science that is of the highest quality. I am seeking a role as a Medical Science Liaison to leverage my training and accomplishments to help improve patient outcomes and experience.
