Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 6 APPs, 8 attendings, 1 fellow, and 3 residents to deliver inpatient care for pediatric trauma and general surgery patients-Manage 5-10 patients daily, overseeing treatment plans, progress, and discharge processes-Respond to full trauma codes, participating in resuscitations to provide immediate care and stabilization for critically ill or injured pediatric patients-Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and consultations, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses and treatments-Administer medications and coordinate care plans with attending surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers-Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, pain management, and monitoring for complications-Participate in daily rounds, providing updates on patient progress and contributing to care strategy decisions-Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters, orders, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital protocols-Maintain high standards of patient care and safety in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
