About Raghavendra Rao

Technology leader who spent several years as a hands-on full-stack developer in varying open source and proprietary technology products. Passionate for anything to do with technology and an early adopter of latest technologies and innovative solutions.Spent several years building backend and frontend software applications and later shifted focus towards Financial Crime Compliance by implementing AML solutions using third party products such as Oracle Mantas, NICE Actimize, Norkom and Quantexa.More recently (since 2019), built a home-grown machine learning platform on AWS public cloud using native AWS services. Collaborated with infrastructure and data science teams to build and productionize machine learning models and Gen AI solutions for Financial Crime (AML, Screening) and Fraud areas. In 2025, onboarded Databricks to further enhance and strengthen this platform.Currently, I work in the role of Technology Delivery Manager in Barclays managing a large team of engineers spread globally across 3 geographies.
