ABOUT RAGHAV TRIVEDI
Raghav Trivedi is a well-regarded and active member of Chambers. He specialises in Business & Property work and his practice focuses primarily on Real Estate, Wills, Trusts and Probate, as well as Insolvency and Cross-Border issues within these areas of law. Raghav holds a particular strength in solving difficult problems and is regularly instructed in matters dealing with unique and complex relationships between the parties including claims of proprietary estoppel, unjust enrichment and constructive and resulting trusts. He has also dealt with cases involving properties and goods located abroad. He is often instructed to resolve such difficult problems at mediation and has been very successful in achieving satisfying outcomes for his clients outside of Court. By way of example, Raghav has been previously instructed on the following types of matters: Junior Counsel on a high-value company and partnership dispute; Junior Counsel on a large-scale professional negligence claim involving land agents and a solicitors’ firm; Sole Counsel in the Court of Appeal in a matter involving the relationship between Enforcement Agents and High Court Enforcement Officers; Sole Counsel in the Court of Appeal in a matter involving the relationship between Creditors and Enforcement Agents; Cross-Border property dispute involving land located in Goa, India; Cross-Border bankruptcy matter involving a circa £4 million debt owed by a debtor located abroad; and A high- stakes trial in the High Court involving a proprietary estoppel claim made by a son against his elderly mother. Raghav regularly holds seminars, and produces articles, to assist his clientele in matters ranging from ways to protect his clients from claims of adverse possession and prescriptive easements to the interplay between resulting trusts and mortgages and the principles of jurisdiction, law and enforcement where real estate is located abroad. Many of Raghav’s webinars and articles for the Business and Property Group can be found on St Philips Chambers’ YouTube channel, website and on his LinkedIn page. Raghav is Direct Access Qualified. He can be instructed directly by, or on behalf of, the lay client (whether an individual or a corporate entity). Raghav is also qualified as a Civil and Commercial Mediator. In his spare time, Raghav is an active and enthusiastic cricketer and his calm and collected demeanour is reflected in his passion for long walks and hikes, his love for nature, travelling to scenic destinations and reading literature and philosophy.
