Developed source-code written in C for the OpenConfig (standardized data model written in yang) resource adaptor, which is an API layer that translates between the Ciena data-driven data model and the OpenConfig data-driven data model- Used static code analysis tools to find unhandled faults in tools and used Valgrind to pinpoint where memory leak occurs- Created UML Class Diagrams to provide documentation and high-level design of how a microservice works- Architected and orchestrated high-level design documents and presented the document in a review with senior architects for new solutions for customer epics; these documents included UML sequence and state diagrams to demonstrate new system behaviour, and delve into performance considerations such as bit-rate, disk-writes and CPU utilization- Wrote test suites in Python for black-box testing for openconfig resource adaptor in-relation to system-level behavioural testing and C++ with Google tests in C++ for white-box testing for the openconfig-resource adaptor to ensure robust white-box testing - Mentored 4-5 co-ops and new grads, simultaneously fostering and assisting in learning the fundamentals of memory management, space complexity, and approaching problems- Participated in networking events to foster relations with students, and prepared questions and assessed their interpersonal and technical skills for interviews
