ABOUT RAFE KINSEY
I work in finance, risk & strategy in quant trading. I enjoy hybrid roles where I can be a bridge between technical groups and the rest of the world, both internally and externally. I think from a business & strategy perspective; at the same time, my math background means that I can communicate and work closely with quants/developers/traders. I\'m always eager to jump into a new area and learn. After a math Ph.D. at Michigan, I started my finance career in a cross-functional role at Spark, a quant hedge fund. I\'ve now spent several years in the finance & treasury group at Jane Street, leading strategic projects to help optimize our financing.I’m fascinated by markets, including the important roles that regulation, microstructure and plumbing play in the financial system.I also enjoy working with technology. I often serve as a product manager, designing and building prototypes myself and with others, and then collaborating with software engineers to develop production systems.I am intellectually curious, and love meeting new people.
