As an intern for HCBF, I support a variety of administrative, legal support, and community outreach tasks. I manage email and calendar systems, review closed Judicare files to ensure proper closure forms are completed, and follow up on incomplete applications by contacting clients to determine whether they wish to proceed. I also close out applications that require no further action and help maintain and update the attorney and local business contact list by verifying mailing addresses. I attend Rent Court proceedings and work with multiple pro bono cases alongside collaborating with the ‘Lawyer on the Line’ hotline which provides legal advice to the senior community which helps guides them in the correct path for legal proceedings.
