With my career spanning in healthcare, nonprofit and finance sectors, I bring a deep understanding of nonprofit and community engagement to my work and volunteer efforts. My professional journey across grassroots fundraising and shaping community impact initiatives at financial institutions reflects my strong commitment to building community and pathways to opportunity.I have the privilege of holding degrees in healthcare and urban studies from the University of Washington, grounding my work in thoughtful awareness of the social and structural factors that affect diverse communities. This academic foundation, combined with my lived experiences, has equipped me to navigate and bridge complex stakeholder relationships across diverse sectors.Driven by the belief that credit unions are powerful vehicles for social change, I’ve dedicated my career to advancing community-driven impact. I’ve had the opportunity to hold community-based roles at two of Washington’s largest credit unions and have earned my Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation from the National Credit Union Foundation. At BECU, I currently lead philanthropic giving initiatives and cooperative engagement efforts.Outside of my work, I stay grounded through travel, family, and local service. I currently serve on the boards of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation and the Tacoma Community College Foundation. My past roles include serving as Board President of the Tacoma Public Library Foundation and commissioner for the City of Tacoma’s Immigrant and Refugee Affairs Commission.Philanthropy, community building, and cooperative movements are more than career interests for me — they are my calling, purpose and guiding values. I am so proud and privileged for the opportunity to live out these values every day through purposeful, community-centered work and impact.
