About Rafael Monteiro Quintães de Castro
My constant search for growth, knowledge, self-knowledge and making a positive impact in other peoples lives, along with my passion for healthcare and technology have been key traits in both my personal and professional paths. My strong personal drive brought me to work for the biggest e-commerce companies in Brazil: Carrefour, Máquina de Vendas, and Magazine Luiza. Throughout these experiences, I developed a holistic vision of the e-commerce strategy in the retail sector, structured and launched new business from scratch, and enhanced my team management skills, empowering and motivating people, while reinforcing my collaborative attitude, which I’ve always believed in. Driven by my constant desire to get out of my comfort zone, in 2017 I decided to try an entrepreneurial challenge, an important experience that shaped my long-term goals. My former associate and I started by partnering to structure a new business focused on real estate opportunities in the countryside of São Paulo State. This experience reinforced my owner’s mindset and ability to learn by doing. Now, as Regional Head of E-commerce for LATAM at J&J Consumer Health, my ambition is to be able to combine my professional passions and skills as a means to generate direct positive impact by putting the patient first in every decision and help creating a better life worldwide.
