ABOUT RICARDO MENDONÇA
Product leader who excels at leveraging technology and design to build products that solve customers’ most valuable problems and drive business outcomes. For the past 8+ years, I’ve been building B2B products in the Animal Health and Diagnostics space.I joined Danaher in 2021 as Sr. Product Manager, where I developed and launched a new product that improved margins by 20% and grew revenue by 2,5x. That led to a promotion to Sr. Manager, Product Management, where I grew a global portfolio of lab automation and in-vitro diagnostics by 8M €, while managing 4 global partners (Copan, Bruker, Sener, Puritan) with responsibility over the entire product lifecycle, including co-development and operations.More recently, I’ve been involved in driving international expasion at PLT, the Animal Health and Nutrition start-up I co-founded back in 2018, in Silicon Valley. Through AI and data analytics, customers in 7 countries (across 3 continents!) get actionable insights about their operations from our product, which has already sold 750+ units for an ARR of 350k €.Want to know what my superpowers are? I was curious too! So, I asked several colleagues and ex-colleagues, and this is what they said: • “He doesn\'t just ‘do’ the work; he provides the intellectual framework for why the work matters.” (Strategic Thinking & Market Intelligence)• “A standout trait is his ability to act as a ‘connective tissue’ between very different groups of people.” (Product Leadership & Stakeholder Management)• “He balances high-level strategy with the ‘grit’ required to execute.” (Technical & Operational Excellence)• “The ‘human’ side of his work style acts as a stabiliser for the team.” (Emotional Intelligence & Resilience)Also… I have already lived in 4 countries, speak 5 languages, and am a vintage game enthusiast as well as a proud dad!Right now, I am looking to go back to a corporate setting, and have been exploring European-based Sr. Product Management roles in multinational, B2B Animal Health and Diagnostics companies, where I can leverage my domain experience to deliver results while following my passion to work with technical, strategic, and commercial aspects of product management, as part of a collaborative and supportive culture that values growth.Let’s connect if you also have a passion for the craft behind building great products, or if you have any advice on how I should approach finding my next role!
