Lead, facilitate and assist with Board and Committee work, including strategic planning, fundraising, exhibitions, community outreach, and collections management & development. Support the Treasurer to develop and present the annual budget and oversee processing, approval and control of all financial transactions. Oversee collections management and development activities in collaboration with staff, lead volunteers and committee chairs, including digital collections. Set direction, with the Board and volunteers, for CLGA’s digitization initiatives. Act as a spokesperson and representative for the CLGA in the community, with the media, and in agreements, contract, projects and partnerships.Supervise and train staff, interns and volunteers in specific task areas to ensure effective overall management of the CLGA’s core functions. Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the organization including communications, programs and activities, and administration.Oversee the proper management of the organization’s internal systems, records and record-keeping practices. Provide reference service to researchers when needed. In collaboration with staff and volunteers, produce educational materials and archival exhibitions to promote LGBTQ history.Produce and facilitate community events, such as talks and exhibitions, in collaboration with staff and volunteers.

ABOUT RAEGAN SWANSON
I am a professional archivist with a PhD in Archives and Records management with a focus in Community Archives. My PhD research focused specifically on the creation of Indigenous archives, memory, and community identity in Northern Québec. I have more than 10 years of experience working as an archivist and conducting archives-related research in both English and French. I am also a co-applicant and collaborator on multiple research grants and projects.
