As a passionate advocate for the Physician Associate profession, I have led numerous strategic and collaborative initiatives across Greater Manchester to enhance the role, support workforce development, and strengthen integration in primary care.Founded and lead the Greater Manchester PA Forum, creating a regional network from the ground up to connect, support, and empower PAs through peer collaboration and shared learning.Developed and delivered tailored training sessions for PAs across the region, addressing professional development needs and enhancing clinical confidence.Provided ongoing peer support and professional advice, acting as a key point of contact for PA queries and guidance.Collaborated with senior stakeholders across GM, including NHSE and primary care training hubs, to co-develop a Preceptorship Programme supporting newly qualified PAs entering primary care.Spoke at stakeholder events and conferences, championing the value of the PA role and advocating for improved integration and support in general practice.Improved placement provision for student PAs, working closely with training schools and GP practices to increase opportunities and enhance the learning environment.Advised general practices and GPs on the recruitment, training, and supervision of PAs, helping to embed sustainable models for workforce growth.Acted as a regional ambassador for the PA profession, raising awareness and fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and professional development.
