About Raeda Anderson
As a Research Scientist II at Shepherd Center, I apply my PhD in Sociology and my quantitative research skills to conduct and disseminate cutting-edge studies on the health and well-being of people with disabilities. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate innovative interventions and programs that improve the quality of life and outcomes of our patients and communities.I have over 15 years of experience as a scientist studying social determinants of health for people with disabilities. Since 2020, I have been a research scientist and data scientist in the hospital and health care industry which is paired with over a decade of experience as a professor. I have expertise in statistical data analysis, social network analysis, and statistical coding using various software and platforms. I have also taught courses and mentored students on sociology, health analytics, social determinants of health, and research methods. I am passionate about advancing the field of health and disability research and translating evidence into practice.
