About Rae Jillian Rivera

My name is Rae Jillian Rivera and I am a first generation Filipina-American, and first generation college graduate. I’ve graduated from California State University, Long Beach with my Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology and completed programs in the arts such as the Creative Direction- ArtCenter and Children\'s Book Illustration- Art Center. I am also a current Fine Arts student at Otis College of Arts and Design.I have been working as a Software Developer for the Interactive Attractions team at Walt Disney Imagineering since 2017 and was part of the team that brought both attractions at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to life at both coasts, the WEBSLINGERS attraction at Avengers Campus in both Disney California Adventure & Disneyland Paris, Moana: Journey of Water at EPCOT, and Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea. I also teach as a part-time Adjunct Professor at USC School of Cinematic Arts for the Interactive Media & Games Division. Prior to Imagineering, I’ve worked as an undergraduate biotechnology researcher for 3-years, then interned in a start-up known as AstroLabs LLC. There I worked on interplanetary space missions and flight systems design.
