About Rachel Sheehy
I am a current business student at the University of North Texas. I am working on completing the dual Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program in Accounting. My expected graduation date is December 2019 and I am excited to finish school and further my career in accounting. Before starting at UNT, I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism at Ohio University in 2010. After graduation, I plan to go on to take the CPA exam. I am also planning to get certifications in auditing and forensic accounting. Once I have finished those, I am going to pursue a career in forensic accounting. After graduation I would like to work for a company in the security sector. Working in social media and journalism taught me about analyzing different types of data and that is a skill I use in accounting as well. Prior to starting work in the accounting field, I worked in social media marketing, analyzing data for different clients. That experience, along with my accounting experience at StackPath would make me a great addition to any company. I am a hard working team player and enjoy taking on new tasks. I also get a sense of accomplishment from doing a good job. With my different areas of experience, I have a unique view on how to approach projects and that can be beneficial when working with a team.
