As Director of External Affairs at the Midlands Engine, I lead the Partnership’s advocacy efforts to ensure the Midlands region has a strong, unified voice in shaping policy and investment decisions. Working closely with regional and national stakeholders, I translate data-driven insights into compelling narratives that influence decision-makers, helping to unlock opportunities for inclusive and sustainable economic growth. With a deep understanding of public policy, investment trends, and regional priorities, I collaborate across sectors to ensure that every engagement with external partners strengthens the Midlands’ position as a place to invest, innovate, and grow. My focus and expertise includes: • Creating and driving the Midlands Engine’s external affairs strategy to advocate for the region • Working with partners to develop and share intelligence on policy and investment trends • Crafting compelling narratives and engagement strategies that influence decision-makers • Ensuring that Midlands Engine partners have the tools and insights they need to champion regional priorities • Building and maintaining strategic relationships across government, industry, and international networks The Midlands is home to world-class industries, cutting-edge innovation and a dynamic workforce.
