ABOUT RACHEL OSTERLIND
I am a licensed social worker with several years of experience in therapeutic services working with diverse populations. I studied neuroscience so I can provide my clients insight into what is physically happening in the brain. I work collaboratively to activate brain regions specific to the issues being treated. I often use a mixture of CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy to do this, but I am always researching new ideas and methods, as this gives my clients both tools for handling situations on their own and a rich, layered therapeutic experience. I want therapy to be something stable, enjoyable, and meaningful for the client. I enjoy being very creative with my work and tailoring my therapy for each client, based on my clients needs and interests.
