About Rachel Johnson
Higher education professional dedicated to working with both undergraduate and graduate students, with a focus on underrepresented/underserved student populations. My current focus is on 1-to-1 executive function and academic coaching; I ensure students have the support and resources needed to become self-sufficient, independent learners and professionals. Capable of leading teams and colleagues on projects and new initiatives, and in leading groups of people to meet in-office needs where there are gaps in policy, procedure, or resources. With a background in both customer service and technical expertise in Excel and operations-related work, I am able to span the diverse needs in an educational office setting with a strong orientation towards attention to detail and finely-honed time management skills.Adept at working with a diversity of educational backgrounds, I have taught high school students completing dual-enrollment Criminal Justice coursework prior to their undergraduate education, undergraduate students looking to enter the professional world and their industry of choice by developing career management skills, and graduate-level Criminal Justice students looking to advance their careers through a higher degree. No matter the student\'s background, I work to ensure the course material and/or advising and coaching services I provide are meeting their educational needs and, in turn, helping them to achieve their professional goals.
