About Rachel Mann

I provide several services to individuals and organizations drawing on the wisdom traditions of Native American spirituality, Buddhism, western shamanism and depth psychology: •Private client healing sessions using techniques and perspectives adapted from the indigenous peoples of the Amazon and Andes. •Workshops for personal growth and spiritual exploration. •Talks on the topics of violence, healing, peace, and spirituality; the new Native American spirituality and shamanism in the West; the Native American Peacekeepers and M.K. Gandhi. •A blog on healing and spirit entitled,\"Heal Fully, Live Powerfully\": http://rachelmannphd.com/blog/ In 2007, I left a long and successful career in Academia to undertake more active peacebuilding work in the world at large through founding MettaKnowledge for Peace. I also started formal training as a shamanic healer to solidify 15 years of informal study and practice. From 20••••09, I was a student in the Four Winds Society Healing the Light Body School founded by Alberto Villoldo who himself studied for 25 years with the shamans of the Amazon and Andes of Peru. I now have an active private client healing practice in Virginia. My teachers have also included Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, Chief of the Tsalagi (Cherokee ) people of the Green Mountains and the indigenous healers of the Andes in Peru.
