ABOUT RACHEL LOS
I am a nerd first and foremost, a multidisciplinary scientist and data specialist with a PhD in Computational Biophysics, experienced in computational modelling, data analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I get excited about making connections between methods, ideas and people from different fields and combining them into new insights and ideas. Early 2025 I gained some notoriety by pushing back against the sexism I had experienced throughout my academic career in the form of \"Anti-Acknowledgements\" that I published together with my PhD thesis and an opinion article that was featured in the TU Delta. In that article I stated that \"science is a human business\" and I still stand by that. I might be a nerd but I’m most passionate about working with and for people. I am actively looking for a role where I can contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative environment.
