ABOUT RACHELLE AYUYANG

My more than a decade-long contracts management career started in the architecture industry in 2014 with a global architectural design firm in its San Francisco office. It was a natural transition from my journalism background, both requiring strong communications skills, an attention to detail and the ability to meet frequent deadlines. As contracts administrator, I was tasked to ensure agreements were fully executed to guarantee funding of projects and vendor services as well as to recover and swiftly capture additional costs. One account became the office’s highest-earner in 2015. A year later, I moved to the corporate Legal team and shepherded closing the master services agreements with major clients. Additionally, I drafted design professional AIA agreements and advised and trained staff on various industry and company contract forms, waivers, NDAs, terms and conditions and insurance requirements. I also led the search, hire and coordination of outside counsel for global offices. In 2017, I became the contract and compliance manager for a smaller architecture firm to revise its contract procedures to model big firms that operate on Deltek VISION. While a team of one, I collaborated with two members in Finance to cut company costs by and save construction losses of $30 million for a major hospitality project.After a year-plus stint in the public sector on a transportation project, I am currently with one of the top general contractors in California, whose projects define the skyline of San Francisco with equal complex efforts in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. My current focus is subcontracts with trade partners, while pursuing higher-level management experience and designation of Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Additional Specialties:*Advance level Deltek VISION and Vista Viewpoint industry databases and other project controls and contracts management systems as well as e-signature software, like Docusign and Adobe Sign.*Coordinating with internal staff and external stakeholders, agencies and partners.*Writing and editing law firm proposals, content and attorney-bylined columns for blogs, websites and industry magazines.*Developing and executing PR/marketing communications plans.*Tech-savvy with such social media platforms as Facebook and Twitter, content management systems, web design programs like Wordpress and Dreamweaver and such various software as Cosential, Pinnacle and Sharepoint.
