ABOUT RACHELLE KEATON
As a producer at First Coast News, I am responsible for the overall production, content, showcasing, and all other elements of weekday morning newscasts. I excel under strict deadlines while multitasking in fast-paced environments, using my attention to detail, writing, and research skills to deliver high-quality and engaging stories. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Multiplatform Production from Morgan State University in 2021, where I was part of a collaborative project that won the 2021 IRE Student Large Award for creating a permanent archive of hate-filled newspaper pages and stories of lives lost to race-based violence. I am passionate about storytelling, creativity, and spreading great news, with a love for arts and design. I also have experience in social media, communications, sales, and marketing, which I gained from my previous roles as a producer-in-residence at WMAZ-TV and a reporter at WEAA 88.9 FM.
