ABOUT RACHEL FICHTER

My passion is to help people become catalysts for positive change in the world. Motivated by a love of learning and strong sense of justice, my focus is on getting leaders (and myself) ready for a new kind of leadership—one that thrives in complexity and works for, not against, the whole social-ecological system that nurtures and sustains us.Previously a Vice President and Global Head of Talent and Leadership Development at S&P Global and Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, I am committed to using my skills, knowledge, and experience to help people enact positive change in the world. A published author, I hold an MBA from Duke University and a Doctor of Education in Adult Learning and Leadership from Columbia University where I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor. I also teach coaching at the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. My current research explores the relationships between collective leadership, complexity, and sustainability. As an executive coach, I am structured and analytical, yet bold and intuitive. I assess where leaders are in their journey and challenge them to find their developmental edges to expand their leadership capacities. My areas of expertise include executive presence and influence, emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, dealing with complexity, and leveraging diverse perspectives to improve business outcomes. I often work with leaders who have been identified as C-Suite successors to get them ready for their next role. I help senior-level leaders deepen their self-awareness and identify and alter patterns in their leadership style that might be preventing them from fulfilling their potential. I also partner with women leaders to build their self-confidence and improve their networks. In addition to working with individuals, I coach teams to strengthen their relationships, improve their ability to engage in constructive conflict, and successfully navigate change.Having lived and worked extensively abroad, I am fluent in German and French and enjoy working with leaders tackling the challenges associated with global responsibilities. As part of my volunteer work, I am a member of the Board of the International Coach Federation NY Chapter (Director of Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships) and have been a mentor for the Women’s Bond Club’s Scholar Program.
