Rachel is a licensed clinician and mental health counselor with a passion for helping others. She believes that everyone desires to find peace, regardless of their current circumstances. With empathy as her superpower, she connects with clients on a deep level, putting good into the world and leaving a positive impact.She is presently working at UF Health Florida Recovery Center (FRC), a top-tier treatment program that combines a focus on results with a commitment to research. Boasting the largest academic addiction team in the US, FRC is located in a state with a disproportionately high rate of drug abuse and related deaths compared to the national average.Rachel\'s professional interests include working with professional populations, addressing addiction, and implementing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques. She is an expert on addiction and is dedicated to breaking stigmas through education and promoting understanding, respect, and inclusiveness in society.At home, Rachel spends time with her husband and two sons focusing on the here and now, being in nature, and appreciating the life we have each been given.

   UF Health Florida Recovery Center is one of the nation\'s top treatment, research, and training program for substance use and mental health disorders. In working with the UF College of Medicine, the Florida Recovery Center takes a comprehensive framework in treating individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. I work with patients, families, and referring providers to navigate admission to our program. As the first point of contact, I answer questions and assist people in getting the services needed in place to support a long term recovery. At the Florida Recovery Center we strive to decrease the stigma of addiction and bring individuals with substance use disorders back to emotional, mental, and spiritual health.
