Rachel Calafell, P.E. is a Principal and Senior Project Manager at Walter P Moore. Joining the firm in 2005, Rachel has structural design and management experience on a range of projects including healthcare, commercial, sports, education, performing arts venues, and adaptive reuse. Rachel’s passion for tackling unique challenges, understanding and responding to client needs, and fostering collaboration resulted in her projects winning consecutive gold medals in Engineering Excellence for 2023 and 2024, along with the esteemed Eminent Conceptor Award (2023) by ACEC Texas. Rachel is invested in nurturing the next generation of engineers through mentorship, teaching, and authoring industry publications.From 20••••18, Rachel managed the structural engineering efforts for the sf Houston Methodist Walter Tower which was awarded the 2019 ENR \"Best Healthcare Project\" in Texas & Louisiana.
