ABOUT RACHEL BURNS

Third-year Business Analytics student, aspiring strategy consultant. My passion for data-driven decision-making brought me to the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, where I am pursuing a BBA in Business Analytics. Over the past four semesters, I completed core coursework in statistics, data visualization, and programming, which provided a strong foundation for analyzing complex business problems. The most valuable lesson I have learned at Notre Dame is the power of data in shaping strategic decisions; information is our greatest tool. While I have always been drawn to problem-solving, my coursework in predictive modeling and optimization has deepened my understanding of leveraging analytics for business impact. My course in Conveying Visual Data Insights has given me great insights into consulting frameworks and data-driven solutions. This year, I have developed proficiency in Python, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel and rudimentary knowledge in R and HTML. I continue to refine my skills in machine learning and business intelligence tools. Next year, I hope to secure a consulting internship that will provide hands-on experience in solving real-world business challenges.
