    Program Management: Manage policy and advocacy campaigns in multiple states to advance TIP’s priorities-legislatively, administratively, and through voter engagement. State victories include; Medicaid expansion in North Carolina and passing Paid Family Medical Leave in Maryland and Maine. Work collaboratively with policy, voter engagement, data, and communications staff to bring a mandate for change through well-orchestrated lobbying, communications and grasstops organizing and provide coordinated support for accomplishing state goals. Master the political landscape in each state, including the power players and funders, what motivates them, the biggest obstacles to a fair economy and healthy democracy, and policy solutions that will help address them.Staff Management: Recruit, onboard, and coach State Directors to meet and exceed organizational and personal goals. Set ambitious targets, guide strategic work, & drive results on tight deadlines. Clearly define expectations on the front end, provide ongoing feedback, stay engaged, and create a culture of accountability & learning. Manage & direct consultant teams in states. Create a peer-to-peer learning program to elevate and share best practices and learnings across states. Serve on TIP’s leadership team and wrestle with organizational and campaign opportunities and challenges. Grants & Budget Management: Lead my team’s annual budget planning, overseeing a $7.5M budget across four states. Coach staff to deliver high quality spending proposals with strong deliverables that clearly tie back to the state strategy. Manage a $1.5M grants program in three states. State Electoral Campaigns: Supervised a $1M state independent expenditure electoral program in Pennsylvania in 2022 resulting in flipping the State House, delivering a Democratic majority and electing Governor Josh Shapiro. In the 2024 electoral cycle, managing a $4.5M independent expenditure program in PA as well as a 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 grants program.
