ABOUT RACHEL BLAKESLEE
What drives me: People, the planet, and policy to support both.I’m a strategic leader and communicator with a decade of experience at the intersection of philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, advocacy, and research-informed policy work.I’ve led multimillion-dollar development portfolios for national organizations and built grassroots fundraising strategies from the ground up for small, local nonprofits. I know how to navigate complex, enterprise-level development operations, and how to design and manage every aspect of a fundraising program with limited resources. My work has focused on environmental health and conservation, education, and community development, where I\'ve shaped revenue generation and policy strategies, and helped build cross-sector coalitions that drive real change. I\'m equally comfortable in front of a donor, a policymaker, a large audience, or a spreadsheet. I’m fueled by big ideas and I sweat the small stuff.I believe deeply in the power of data and storytelling to unite people and inspire action. I’m currently based in Alaska, grateful to live and work on Dena’ina land, and spend as much time as I can outside—running trails, traversing ridge lines, and working toward a future where people and planet thrive together.
