ABOUT RACHEL BERNS
I am a first-year Biokinesiology PhD student at the University of Southern California (USC). I graduated summa cum laude in May 2024 from Chapman University as a Presidential Scholar. I earned my B.S. in Health Sciences with minors in Nutrition and the University Honors Program. I graduated with the highest departmental and college honors, as well as being named the 2024 Cecil F. Cheverton recipient - Chapman\'s oldest and highest undergraduate honor, awarded by a vote of the full faculty.My research experiences have been robust in musculoskeletal biomechanics, and I enjoy being able to refine my scientific communication skills as an anatomy and physiology tutor. With a vibrant passion for human science, health equity, and higher education, I look forward to contributing professionally to academia and scientific research.
