Serve as the Program Director for Library Human Resources for the UC San Diego Library. Responsible for independently overseeing the full scope of human resources activities for 250 academics, staff and student employees. Manage and supervise academic personnel services including appointments, subsequent reviews and personnel actions, leaves, visas, salary administration, benefits, separations, grievances, layoffs, recruitments, etc. Serve as principal advisor to the senior management team and as a member of Library Leadership Council. Engage in high-level analysis and strategic and operational planning to address multifaceted issues, and to establish and implement policies, programs and practices consistent with the goals of the organization. Supervise, direct and train staff responsible for coordinating and implementing the full range of payroll, human resources, and training activities. Perform budget and resource analysis, including forecasting, to prepare a comprehensive budget in support of departmental operations and department-wide staff training needs.
