ABOUT RACHEL SISODIA

It is my honor to serve as the Chief Quality Officer for Mass General Brigham, an expansive health care system comprised of the two flagship Harvard Medical School teaching hospitals/academic medical centers (Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital) as well as six community hospitals, a critical access/rural hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, McLean Hospital (psychiatry), the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, MGB Home hospital, MGB Home care, and an integrated primary care network covering millions of lives. In this role, I am responsible for our performance on clinical outcomes, patient safety and risk management, clinical compliance and regulatory oversight, infection control and biothreats, clinical documentation integrity, patient reported outcomes, and other key programs. This infrastructure allows our clinical teams, the best in the world, to deliver exemplary and groundbreaking care to patients in New England, the United States and throughout the globe.In addition to my administrative role, I am an actively practicing surgeon and Gynecologic Oncologist on staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where I am honored to partner with my magnificent clinical colleagues in caring for women suffering from gynecologic malignancies. Finally, I am an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology at Harvard Medical School where my academic research is focused heavily on Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs). Recognized both nationally and internationally for scholarship and innovation in this space, one of my greatest professional accomplishments was marrying the academic and the administrative in development of the world’s largest and most advanced clinical PRO program, which has brought the patient’s voice to the forefront for over 15 million patient visits here within Mass General Brigham.
