About Rachel Sibley
I work at the intersection of technology and trust. I want to build not only a more connected world, but networks of communities that can evolve, scale, and bridge divides. I leverage exponential technologies to bring that vision to life. Half introverted maker, half pragmatic strategist, I love improving systems with a purpose and designing user-centric solutions at scale. I believe tech can make us not only more powerful but also more humane—and that both are required to create true value. I share that vision (+pragmatic use cases, in-the-trenches insights, and first-mover market opportunities) as a speaker at events like TEDx (Berlin), Mobile World Congress (Barcelona), SXSW (Austin), IT Arena (Lviv), Augmented World Expo (San Francisco), Bosphorus Summit (Istanbul), CES (Las Vegas)—and more. As a consultant, I\'ve helped identify and develop programs and product opportunities with Fortune 500s (Accenture, Alphabet Inc, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Qualcomm), governments (the Emirate of Dubai), analyst firms (Gartner, IDC), and non-profit agencies (the United Nations, Head Start). As VP of Product Marketing for Leap Motion, a leader in neural-net-based technology that allows people to interact in VR and AR with their bare hands, I led go-to-market efforts to bring naturalistic embodiment to digital environments. Previously, I served on the senior leadership team at IBM Design, where I helped scale the practice of design thinking globally, opening 29 design studios worldwide and galvanizing a more design-centric ethos at one of the world’s oldest and largest technology companies. Born of a family of artists, I’ve also worked at a professional level since my teens in theater (performing on stage & screen), dance (showcasing my choreography at SXSW & the Cotton Bowl), and photography (my exhibitions feature social impact & climate issues like the widespread wildfires of 2011). Colleagues have described me as \"the sparkplug,\"\"elegant, highly polished, & nerdy to boot,\" and \"an excellent negotiator. with more energy than the entire staff.\" When not tinkering with big ideas, I like to hike tall desert mountains with family and friends, sit quietly in monasteries, and teach social dance. Send me a message or find me on twitter @sibleyspeaks so I can learn from you, too. In appreciation, Rachel
