Supporting the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Vegetation Classification and Mapping Program (VegCAMP) initiative through field data collection, GIS-based vegetation mapping, and collaboration with Carmel River Watershed Conservancy (CRWC), the California Native Plant Society (CNPS), Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District (CSL-RCD), and Tukman Geospatial. Responsibilities include ground-truthing satellite-derived vegetation classifications, producing spatial data layers for restoration and wildfire risk planning, and contributing to public outreach materials promoting native plant stewardship in the Carmel River Watershed.
