ABOUT RACHEL THORNE
Relationship is everything. If there is one thing Rachel knows, it\'s this. A bilingual (EN/FR) Senior Indigenous Relations Specialist with Stantec\'s Indigenous Business and Relations Team based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, she is of Celtic descent, born and raised in Wolostoqiyiq/New Brunswick. She brings nearly 15 years of experience working for and alongside Indigenous communities on all three coasts. She holds a Master of Education in Leadership and Curriculum Development with a focus on decolonization from the Ts\"Kel Program and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Canadian Studies from McGill University. Rachel has worked closely with Indigenous communities on development, policy, restorative justice, K-12 education, adult education, and language and cultural initiatives in Eeyou Istchee, Nunavik, the Northwest Territories, northern Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
