ABOUT RACHEL PAULS
Dr. Pauls completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and her fellowship training at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Pauls has been a faculty member of the Obstetrics and Gynecology program at TriHealth since 2006 and the Fellowship Director for the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Division since 2013. She has published over 100 journal articles and book chapters, and her research has been presented at hundreds of meetings worldwide. Dr. Pauls was an American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Mentor of the Year in 2012, in recognition of her preeminent role in teaching and training aspiring physicians and surgeons.In 2016, Dr. Pauls founded Rachel Pauls Food, an online low-FODMAP food company and resource for those suffering with IBS and other digestive issues. Her products have included certified low-FODMAP energy bars (“Happy Bars”), beef jerky, spice mixes, soup bases, baking mixes, and books. Her website has over 500 free low-FODMAP recipes, and the downloadable highly regarded low-FODMAP ‘Happy Gut Guide’ PDF. Dr. Pauls’ recipes are beloved by thousands all over the world, and her website has over unique visitors per year.In October, 2020, in partnership with Quarto Publishing, Dr. Pauls released her first full length book:\"The Low-FODMAP IBS Solution Plan & Cookbook\". It contains over 100 unique low-FODMAP recipes that can be prepared in under 30 minutes, a four week meal plan, grocery shopping list, personal tips, medical advice and more. All the recipes are gluten-free, and many are vegetarian or vegan. The book is available internationally at major retailers. In May, 2023, Dr. Pauls launched her second book, dedicated to FODMAP reintroduction.\"The FODMAP Reintroduction Plan & Cookbook\" addresses a much needed gap in the current available publications, and takes readers through important FODMAP challenges with beautiful photos and over 60 recipes.
