Work includes:Ex vivo mitochondrial functional assays in difficult tissue types from rodent models.Cell-specific experimental design and execution for mechanism of action studies for cardiometabolic health, including iPSC modeling of cardiac and vascular cells (iPSC-Cardiomyocytes, iPSC-endothelial cells).Development of 3D engineered heart tissues for target identification, validation, and therapeutic development.Scientific community outreach in the Bay Area, with a focus on underreached populations.
