WORK HISTORY
Founder @Firebird
Manchester, GB
I founded my neurodiversity consultancy Firebird to help people like me. But it ended up helping people like you.As an entrepreneur with ADHD and autism, I struggled to find ways to prioritise, manage my time and build relationships with clients. I started investigating how people like me work best, and decided that I could use my knowledge to help others. I train organisations as that way I can reach more people and embed inclusion more widely. How does that help my clients? Because neurodiversity inclusion is proven to increase productivity, innovation and profit. Win-win.Neurodiversity inclusion is at the heart of everything I do. Whether it\'s consulting with corporates, training teams or advocacy for people less privileged than me, I am committed to creating a better world for those of us who think differently. My neurodiversity training has been consistently rated 5 stars and 100% of my clients would recommend me. That\'s because I am committed to training people in the way that they learn best - incorporating a range of techniques so every individual leaves feeling empowered and excited.I have a team of trainers with lived experience. I\'m autistic and have ADHD so I cover those conditions, plus an overview of neurodiversity. We have trainers in dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia, along with mental health specialists. We\'re also the first neurodiversity consultancy to hire a specialist intersectionality trainer.I am also an international keynote speaker and TEDx speaker - focusing on neurodiversity and why it\'s so important. My talks are highly rated and I frequently have audience members tell me it\'s the first time they\'ve seen themselves represented. I produced the booklet \"How to treat autistic people\" and the accompanying poster, which won a Roses award. My new book is coming out soon.I love my job, and am privileged to work with the most amazing clients, neurodivergent and neurotypical alike.
