ABOUT RACHEL MOONEY

As a Manager at the Climate Action Reserve, I develop high-quality carbon crediting protocols for waste and industrial projects globally. I lead the Waste Handling and Methane Destruction Protocols Sector, to ensure consistent application of the protocol’s technical requirements. Additionally, I also support the programs team by reviewing project submittal and credit issuance requests. I serve as the Reserve’s CARB OPR mine methane and livestock specialist. My passions lie at the intersection of policy and science. My background in Public Policy and Chemistry gives me a unique perspective in the fight to combat climate change by having the ability to better understand and effectively communicate both science and climate policy.
