Assessing incoming calls from cancer patients, caregivers or healthcare providers. Gather pertinent symptoms, medical hx, and current condition to determine urgency of situation.Using clinical judgement to determine approrpriate plan for patient.Answering on average 50-60 calls daily and assisting patients in a timely manner.Recognizing the emotional impact of cancer and consistently providing an empathetic and therapeutic support to patients and their families. Care coordination with different multidisciplinary teams- chemotherapy treatment centers, radiologists, primary care doctors, nutrition, social work and more!Ongoing patient advocacy and guiding through the health care system.Assisting in the clinic side by helping room patients and assessing if they have experienced any significant changes since last seeing their oncologist.
