ABOUT RACHEL MAYA DIXON
I\'m a passionate educator with 17+ years of experience in both high school math and educational leadership. I began my career fostering a love of learning in my students as a high school math teacher, then transitioned to curriculum development as a secondary mathematics curriculum specialist.Leveraging my expertise, I joined the College Board as an educational consultative salesperson and manager. There, I spearheaded the adoption of AP programs and assessments, growing market share throughout Florida and the Western Region. I\'m particularly proud of launching SAT School Day for the first time in Palm Beach County. Throughout my time there, I also thrived in a leadership role, supporting my team to achieve success.Today, at AVID, I find immense satisfaction as a thought partner with district and school leaders. I help them implement AVID\'s proven strategies, fostering systemic change on their campuses. Together, we ensure students become stronger learners and teachers rediscover the joy of teaching.
