ABOUT RACHEL KAIAMA
After near thirty years of professional development and executive programs with the University of Hawai‘i, School of Travel Industry Management I\'ve moved to the destination management side of tourism with the Hawai‘i Island Visitor Bureau, back to ku\'u home (my home). This involves protecting scared and historical places, natural resources, preserving the Hawaiian culture and its rich history, and uplifting through education and training the Hawaiian language, all through working with our community-based Destination Management Action Plan (DMAP) that will rebuild, redefine and reset the direction of tourism.
