About Rachel Hicks
I am a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Georgia double majoring in Ecology and Biology with an emphasis in marine biology. Through rigorous coursework and experience as a field research assistant at the GCE-LTER site, I have gained foundational skills in areas such as animal behavior, conservation biology, and population ecology that will allow me to succeed in future research roles. My genuine passion for conservation and love of learning are the driving forces of my academic career, and I plan to further my education with both a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in marine ecology.
