ABOUT RACHEL GROVES
With 25 years of professional experience, I have delivered projects across all sectors, focusing in on the delivery of commercial projects over the last 15 years. Most recently in my role as Project Director I have specialised in residential high-rise buildings in the BTR and PBSA asset classes.I started my career as an Architectural Assistant and following completion of my Degree in Leeds, embarked upon a Masters in Project Management and never looked back. My Architectural background has always been my differentiator, a project manager with an eye on cost but a focus on design and the delivery of high quality, sustainable and well detailed buildings. One of my qualities is how I communicate with, and relate to different members of the project team, third parties and internal and external stakeholders, allowing me to build strong relationships, which has led to the successful delivery of projects. I am a problem solver and a finisher, taking a sense of achievement and personal pride in closing out complex issues on projects with stakeholders through challenging circumstances.Out of the office, I am a community driven individual and enjoy my role as Head of Property at Bramhope Village Scout Group (BVSG). I am responsible for keeping our young people safe in our existing premises, along with managing our hut redevelopment. I am also a keen walker, love the outdoors and enjoy a challenge. I regularly participate in challenge events in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society.
