   Currently serving as Senior Attorney, Pharmacy & Academic Medicine, for Ascension, the largest nonprofit health system in the U.S. and the world’s largest Catholic health system. I partner with my Ascension clients across the country to navigate legal and regulatory matters including compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws, the 340B Statute, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) regulations regarding reimbursement and payment, provider-based status and graduate medical education (“GME”) and undergraduate education matters. Responsibilities in this role include: • Provide legal expertise to Ascension\'s pharmacy team and leadership to maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and implement innovate pharmacy strategies • Lead Ascension’s 340B legal team to prepare for and to respond to Health Resources and Services Administration (“HRSA”) audits, structure and negotiate contract pharmacy arrangements, investigate duplicate discount, diversion and material breach matters, and maintain 340B program compliance• Provide legal expertise to Ascension’s GME leadership to restructure GME programs and maintain compliance with CMS GME regulations and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (“ACGME”) accreditation requirements and negotiate strategic affiliation agreements• Guide development of strategies to ensure compliance with CMS’s provider-based rules
