    Direct the Forest Program at a leading Washington state environmental advocacy and environmental justice non-profit organization. Accountable for the Forest Program\'s portfolio of work, which advances ecological forestry in Washington\'s private and state forestlands to provide ecological, social, and economic value to communities. Primary tools include legislative work, litigation, advocacy, technical analysis, coalition building, elections, market-based tools, and communications strategies.The Forest Team\'s areas of thematic focus are management of public state trust lands for public benefits; supporting community and ecological resilience to wildfire; ensuring science-based forest practices on private lands; promoting development of climate-smart wood supply chains; and electing an environmentally progressive Commissioner of Public Lands. Annual projects include publication of an Department of Natural Resources accountability report, and the Carbon Friendly Forestry Conference attended by 150 forestry experts.Duties include setting program strategy and direction; supervision of 3-4 staff; collaboration with state government, Tribal governments, NGOs, and the private sector; management of program budget; fundraising with individual and institutional funders; communication of program work; representation of the Forest Program in the media; representing the conservation community at multi-stakeholder tables, participation in the organization\'s Senior Management Team; and collaboration with teams across WCA: Puget Sound and Climate policy programs as well as Field, Government Affairs, Communications, Development, and Political teams.
