Over my 8 years working in the controlled environment agriculture field, I have honed my understanding and skills working in many aspects of this novel field. I have worked in greenhouse and hydroponic construction and establishment, developed autonomous growth chambers, maintained experiments in research scale greenhouses and worked with in-home hydroponic system products. My experience and education have given me a unique skill set. I have gained hard skills such as working machinery, wiring electrical components, coding, establishing hydroponic grow systems and am well practiced in the design process (design, troubleshooting, redesign.always learning!). I have deep knowledge of plant science, relating specifically to horticultural crops and have worked with a huge variety of crops in hydroponic systems. I have soft skills such as resourcefulness, good communication and management skills, and emotional intelligence from years of working on different teams from and in different parts of the world and fields.
